Balance & The Golf Swing

Many Golf pros disagree on various techniques for driving or putting but there is one point that we all agree on. That is maintaining strong, sturdy balance during your swing. It will be almost impossible to have a good stroke if your spine is unbalanced. It seems simple enough. The problem is that when we practice our golf specific techniques, we continue the common routine of gripping too hard and trying to “Tiger” the ball. These impassioned relentless swings twist and turn our bodies leading to muscle contraction and disrupting the spines balance.

Most Golf Pros, from the beginning tell their clients the important need to be cautious and not to attempt to hit the ball too hard or even hard at all. The reason for this is that a focused well placed strike on the ball will generally result in a more accurate drive, rather then just trying to “Tiger” the ball and striking off center.

One of the most important aspects to ensuring a consistent more accurate swing is to keep your spine stretched to allow more natural flow of the club thru your swing phases. A loose and relaxed spine allows your body to keep strong and sturdy balance, and your head still, therefore reinforcing that you won’t pull too hard or pull your club away. The 10 Minute CushionTM now gives you that opportunity, no matter where you are. In 10 minutes your back will be stretched, you will be more relaxed, balanced and continuous enjoyable golf.
